Our work in the UK focuses on bringing people, businesses and communities together to support individuals and families experiencing hardship. Through donations of clothing, food, groceries, household essentials and money, we aim to help ease financial pressures and provide practical support to those who need it most. We welcome contributions of all kinds, whether it is a financial donation, a bag of groceries, clothing in good condition, essential household items or a few hours of volunteering. Every contribution, however big or small, can make a meaningful difference in someone's life. As the cost of living continues to place pressure on households, many people struggle to afford everyday essentials. With the kindness and generosity of our supporters, we hope to reach more people, and help build a more caring and supportive community.

Global Outreach: Sri Lanka & Thailand

We work closely with trusted community networks and local partners to provide practical, meaningful support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. Our work includes providing clothing and essential everyday items to those who need them, offering food support through community initiatives and meal programmes, assisting vulnerable individuals and families with housing and shelter needs, and supporting children with educational resources and opportunities. We believe that true charity goes beyond immediate assistance; while short-term relief is essential in times of crisis, our aim is to create long-term, positive and sustainable impact, helping people regain stability, dignity and the opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their families.

Angel Shelters is a community-led charitable organisation based in the UK, dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing hardship through compassion, generosity and collective action. We bring together individuals, businesses and communities to provide essential support and help improve quality of life.

Our work focuses on two key areas:

  • UK Community Support: We encourage and coordinate donations of money, clothing, food, groceries and household essentials, alongside volunteering and partnerships with individuals and businesses, to help people experiencing financial hardship and other challenges.
  • International Support – Sri Lanka & Thailand: We support vulnerable communities through donations of clothing, household essentials and other necessities, while working towards alleviating poverty and homelessness and improving access to shelter and education.

Through the generosity of our donors, volunteers and community partners, Angel Shelters aims to restore dignity, ease hardship and bring hope to those who need it most in the UK, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

We rely heavily on the kindness of our community to keep our mission alive. You can get involved in several ways:

  • Donate: We accept donations of money, food, clothes, and essentials. You can also contribute to our Give A Meal Campaign, where providing just one meal can directly touch a life.

  • Volunteer: Give your time to help us serve meals or organize donations.

  • Partner With Us: We welcome partnerships and sponsorships from local businesses and organizations.

Our “Give A Meal” campaign is a featured initiative built on a simple premise: 1 Meal = 1 Act of Kindness = 1 Life Touched. By participating, you can help feed someone experiencing food insecurity. You can choose to contribute on a weekly or monthly basis, and your donation will directly fund the hot, nutritious meals served at our community kitchen.
